For those of you who are dieting…How do you get passed your cravings?


Does anyone else do this? When I crave chocolate, I drink hot chocolate or chocolate milk, I might brush my teeth or chew gum if I want to snack. I used to keep a pic of the body I desired on my fridge, does anyone else do these things or have any easy dieting tips/tricks/secrets they use?

    im craving chocolate icecream and dont know if i should or not,cravings last 15 minutes,i guess ill drink water and try to ignore it.

    When I crave something, I let myself eat it. I just watch how much I eat of it. I have nothing that is completely off limits.

    I either go to Pizza Hut for a stuffed crust pizza or have a caramel swirl cheesecake. Depends on my mood.

    my mom has always told me that if you have a pic of the body you desire on your fridge than it will help you, but ive never tried it.

    just drink water. i never tired it but my friends say drink water and you will forget about it.

    Yeh I do the same -

    I chew gum or take a breath mint if I really want to eat, but shouldn’t

    Or I drink tons of water or tea to make myself feel full

    If either of those don’t work, I usually tend to just eat a piece of fruit – they are mostly water anyways and it’ll fill you up

    Also another thing is do something you know that occupies you – like going on the internet, watching tv, etc

    Chocolate isn’t that bad for you unless you eat too much. It is okay to eat snacks, but in portions. My Mom did thids thing where she ate four times a day, chicken, rice, salad, and a nice tall glass of milk. It helped her loose over 80 lbs.! Anyway, it’s okay to have cravings. Just munch on some dry cerial, or fresh veggies. Good luck!!!

    I drink water, eat a healthy snack, or exercise. But sometimes I do give in.

    Whenever I would crave something, I would just eat what I was craving. That is what my doctor told me to do- because if you crave something, and don’t eat it, the craving will just build up, and eventually you will just have a binge. I would mainly crave like chips, and salty things. So, if I was craving Fritos, I would just eat some. I’ve reached my goal weight, after losing 70 pounds, so I think it works.
